Washington, DC — Today, Angel Padilla, National Policy Director for the Indivisible Project issued the following statement:
“As Congress moves forward with the impeachment process, Indivisible urges expediency. The public hearings from the last few weeks have revealed with absolute clarity the criminal acts committed by Donald Trump. Witnesses recounted how Trump, for personal gain, attempted to bribe and extort a foreign government into interfering in our elections. He then tried to cover it up. These are impeachable offenses.
”The Judiciary Committee has enough evidence to draft multiple articles of impeachment for the House to vote on and move to trial in the Senate. Let’s get on with it.”
