We are excited to endorse Indivisible member Randi McCallian for Congress in Missouri’s 8th District! She brings a progressive voice to a deep red area, where the current office holder has consistently voted against his constituent’s needs and supported extremists.
Raised in a large military family, Randi knows the importance of community support and connections, especially in the small towns of rural Missouri. As a childbirth doula, she saw first-hand the struggles that so many families face when it comes to accessing affordable healthcare. And as the director of a multi-state maternal and child health program for farm-working families, she knows how our current leadership has completely failed the working class families of the district.
Randi knows that what her community needs is a leader who will bring desperately-needed revitalization – increased funding for rural schools, access to high-speed internet, repairs to our crumbling infrastructure, affordable housing, and salaries that pay low-wage workers and caregivers a livable wage.
As an Indivisible member, Randi McCallian already has a team of dedicated organizers willing to take on the tough fights in order to build a fairer, more resilient state, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to stand beside her as she works to bring change to Southern Missouri.
Shannon County Take Action Now nominated Randi McCallian for a national endorsement. If you would like to join the group or get involved, you can find them on Facebook.
